A little About Us

Car-Tan is a small kennel in eastern Davie county North Carolina. It's owners are Robert & Mary Ann Zimmerman. Robert is in construction and Mary Ann a nurse. Our adventure started approximately three years ago with the purchase of Silver Valley Cloe. Cloe with her funny antics, loving nature and determined hunting skills quickly made us fans of the Jack Russell Terrier. We began reading all we could find on this breed. The JRTCA website helped us decide that the Jack was the breed for us. So we searched the web for kennels all across the United States that raised Jack Russell Terriers. After all that reading we purchased two more Jack Russells for the start of our own kennel, Car-Tan. Want to know how the name Car-Tan originated? Well our two grandson's are named Carter & Tanner. So we merged our two loves, our grandson's names and our Jack Russell Terriers.
